Luxury goatskin leather B6 notebook cover inspired by vintage pieces from our collection.

The design of the Passepartout notebook cover is the result of part of our customer base requesting a simplified version of our popular Yokohama cover design and a desire on our side to offer a range of products at an affordable price level without compromising on quality.

Simplifying the design by removing the card pockets, pen loop and strap and the fact that the covers are actually handmade in India has helped drastically reduce production costs. The Passepartout is otherwise identical to the B6 Yokohama cover.

The workshop in which they are crafted by hand has worked for some of the most prominent European and American luxury brands and has a well established reputation for quality.

Indian goatskin has long been a popular material with luxury brands. This leather is very supple and has an exquisite natural fine grain. Our goatskin is carefully selected and has been custom dyed for us in our signature colour, Ai-iro or Japanese Indigo. Ai-iro is an elegant blue with hints of green and grey, which looks lighter or darker depending on lighting conditions. The Passepartout cover is only available in this colour.

We chose the B6 format for its practicality, smaller than A5, but bigger than A6. The Passepartout range includes B6 Japanese paper notebooks designed to fit the covers perfectly.

Our L size Mizuhiki Japanese leather cord is a perfect fit on the Passepartout cover.

Dust pouch included.

Handcrafted in India

We use a carefully selected, full grain, vegetable-tanned, goat leather of the highest quality from India.

This very fine-grained leather is butter-soft.

Vegetable tanning is a chemical-free, environmentally friendly tanning method, which also allows the original appearance of the hide to show through. Veins, scratches and other marks from the original hide may be visible. These are not defects, but natural characteristics that add to the beauty of the material.

Avoid prolonged exposure to sunlight and humidity. Store in a well-aired, non humid environment.
If wet, allow it to dry away from heat sources.
Water stains and other marks: vegetable-tanned leather will acquire stains more easily than mineral-tanned leathers, stains may be partially hidden when the leather darkens. Do not try to clean with water, alcohol or soap (including saddle soap).
